Recreational area Het Twiske

One of the recreational areas in Waterland - north of Amsterdam - is Het Twiske. This recreational area consists of one-third water and offers plenty of opportunities for swimming, diving, surfing and sailing. As a recreational area, Het Twiske is popular with children who can have fun here on and around the water. Het Twiske has a play ditch, splash pond and an adventure playground with tube fort, cable car, pirate ship, castle and ferries. There are also no fewer than seven beaches and a harbor. For nature lovers, it is a haven where they can bike, hike, sail, horseback ride and rollerblade undisturbed in a varied landscape.
