Whoever says Edam, says cheese. Not surprisingly, the spherical cheeses have been known all over the world for centuries. Discover the origin of this delicacy in Edam and be surprised by the historic center of the old Zuiderzee town. In July and August you can experience for yourself what trade was like here at the time during the Wednesday cheese market. Tip: Do you like cultural activities? Then visit the Edam museum, one of the two locations is the 'Steenen Coopmanshuys'. This is the oldest house in Edam with a unique floating cellar.
